How do the Bokashi balls work?
EM Bokashi Balls contain EM. EM is the abbreviation for Effective Microorganisms. EM is a group of 80 different types of effective microorganisms. Each of these Effective Microorganisms has specific tasks and they also promote each other's functioning. These microorganisms are collected in the wild; are not modified or manipulated and are grown naturally. EM is therefore pure nature from nature.

The operation of EM is based on the so-called dominance principle. Of all micro-organisms, 5% are regenerative (constructive, effective, positive) and 5% are degenerative (degradative, harmful, rot-causing). The remaining 90% are followers and follow the leader. EM belongs to the regenerative group. So when the constructive micro-organisms are most strongly represented you get a positive effect (fertile soil, clean, living water, healthy animals and people), because 95% of the micro-organisms then have a constructive effect and the 5% harmful micro-organisms cannot grow. But on the contrary, if the decomposing micro-organisms have the upper hand, you get putrefaction processes.

Because the EM Bokashi Balls are spread on the bottom of the lake, the lake, the pond, the micro-organisms spread in the clay and sludge of the bottom and settle there permanently. The positive micro-life spreads over the water again, causing the water to recover. In Japan, an entire sea has already been cleaned in this way with EM!
