Sodium percarbonate, also called solid hydrogen peroxide, has traditionally been used as a bleaching agent, stain and odor remover for laundry and cleaning white grout in the bathroom.

Sodium percarbonate is a compound of the substances hydrogen peroxide and sodium carbonate, which are released in water above 40°C. It is the ideal addition to soap nuts for your laundry. It contains no chlorine or optical bluing and is made from non-toxic raw materials.
Thanks to the many other lesser-known properties of this product, you can use it not only as a household product, but also as a maintenance product.

People with sensitive skin can benefit greatly by washing their clothes with soapnut shells and percarbonate. This is also highly recommended for babies with their delicate skin... Due to the emergence of petrochemicals (oil) as a source for all kinds of substances. Just think of optical brighteners found in most detergents. These optical brighteners adhere to the laundry, and are synthetics that make the laundry appear whiter than it actually is. They do not contribute in any way to the cleaning effect of the detergent, and only create an optical illusion. Therefore, only use Percarbonate or Oxygen Bleach (based on active oxygen) as a bleaching agent

Can you easily detect optical brighteners with a simple test? Put a little (white) washing powder of a common brand on your finger and keep it under a black light. You will see your finger fluoresce. Much more worrying, however, is that your finger continues to light up even after a good wash. Only after your skin has replaced itself naturally over time will you be rid of the optical brightener. All in all, not a pleasant idea when you consider that your skin comes into contact with optical brighteners almost continuously through your clothes and sheets.

How to use sodium percarbonate

Sodium percarbonate with warm water is great for cleaning, stain removal, and laundry applications, to clean a carpet machine, or to mop the floor.

Sodium percarbonate is very suitable for cleaning and disinfecting such as cleaning the litter box, bird bath, bedpans ...
Mix sodium percarbonate in hot water, fill your (empty) litter box or birdbath or bedpan, and give it time to work. Just like hydrogen peroxide, sodium percarbonate needs time to do its work. The suggested amounts for this are usually small - so one or two scoops (2 tablespoons at a time) is probably enough to clean an entire litter box (filled with water), or an entire birdbath (filled with water). Use warm water.

Mix into a thick paste and use on tile joints.
Destains, whitens, disinfects and deodorizes your laundry naturally
Treatment of fungi
Against the discolouration of wood from panels, furniture and garden terraces.
As a classic detergent, one to two tablespoons, depending on the stains, the wash and the hardness of the water
