      Many years ago, Memo became the first pencil manufacturer with the FSC quality mark (FSC no. 139) on pencils. This makes them a pioneer in supporting controlled and ecologically responsible forest management. The pencils are made of beautiful wood.

      Together with the FSC, Memo supports initiatives that help to preserve valuable primary forests and ensure the long-term protection of the original inhabitants of those forests; environmentally friendly use of wood as raw material. The FSC quality mark is awarded to forestry companies, but also to complete manufacturing processes. Memo guarantees that every step in the manufacturing process meets the strict requirements of the FSC. In short: The FSC ecolabel identifies products that use wood from ecologically and socially responsible forests, independently certified according to the strict guidelines of the Forest Stewardship Council.
