A lot of the heat that comes from the radiator goes outside through the wall. By sticking the radiator foil to the back of the radiator (and not the wall), the heat is reflected into the room and is not lost. Because the radiator heat is now used optimally, your room is heated much more efficiently. This saves energy, which is good for the environment and your wallet.

You stick the foil to the back of the radiator with the supplied magnetic tape, so not to the wall. Because the foil is on the back of the radiator, you cannot see the foil from the room. This is easiest with the clothespin trick:

  1. First you clean the top and bottom of the radiator.
  2. Weigh the foil with some clothespins and lower the foil from the roll behind the radiator
  3. Once the foil is in place, secure the bottom with the magnetic strip and remove the bottom clothespins
  4. Then pull the foil taut upwards and also stick the top side with a magnetic strip
  5. You can use a knife to cut away any remaining edges
