It is made of 97% pure carbon. The carbon filter will absorb toxic substances such as lead, mercury, cadmium, copper and chlorine from the tap water. In this chemical process, minerals such as calcium, potassium and magnesium in the water are liberated.

The filter works best if left in a glass carafe for 8 hours, but the effects are noticeable after just one hour.

Place the carbon filter in some water and let the magic happen. The taste of water will noticeably improve after just one hour. But to enjoy the best effects, leave the filter on for eight hours, more ideally during the night.

Due to the taste of the water, you will notice that the filter is becoming less and less efficient. In that case you can only cook it for ten minutes.

Boiling flushes out impurities and releases carbon so that the filter regains its properties. Some people have more sensitive taste buds than others so if you notice that the flavor diminishes before 3 months have passed, it is quite normal to cook it in the meantime as well. So it has a total shelf life of six months. As long as it has the desired effect, that means it works!
