Your Beeskin can be reused for up to 1 year with proper care. If it no longer sticks well or has some flaws, you can just freshen it up at home. Of course you can also use our repair kit to make your own beeswax packaging. Just make sure you use fabrics that are certified organic. The kit contains 40 g of bieeskin mixture.
If you want to make your own Beeskins, this is enough for about 1-2"L" wraps (35x35cm) or 2-3"M" wraps (quantity varies depending on fabric weight). If your cloth doesn't look as nice after a while and the "facelift", as described under "your questions", you can easily change it yourself and even repair it. In addition, your kitchen smells wonderful.

This is how it works:
  1. Preheat the oven to 90°C.
  2. Place your beeskin on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
  3. Using a utility knife, cut small pieces from your wax block or graters with an old grater (which makes it easier to distribute them evenly).
  4. Sprinkle the wax pieces evenly over your bee skin if you want to refresh/wax the entire wrap, or apply only to heavily worn areas.
  5. Place in the oven for about 3 minutes or until the wax has melted. If you take the tray out of the oven and see that there is still too much wax in some places, smooth it out with a brush.
  6. Let it cool down and reuse it immediately.

Of course, for a sustainable product the CO2 balance must also be good. That is why our bee cloths are produced exclusively in Berlin, packed in Berlin and shipped from Berlin. We only use European raw materials and consciously avoid cheaper alternatives.
